Last November we participated in a charity auction at the La Fonda de la Confianza restaurant where several wines were auctioned to raise funds to support the charity The Kobo Trust, including an 8-liter Adorado demijohn that raised 850 euros.
The Kobo Trust is a non-profit association that develops different humanitarian projects in Africa, from sending food to famine-stricken areas on the Kenyan border with Ethiopia, to equipping desks and providing books in schools in Tanzania and collaborating in the education of orphans on the island of Lamu, helping social groups there.
The event consisted of a dinner specially designed for the occasion in which, in addition to Paco Patón and Jose Luis Estevan, from La Fonda collaborating, Joaquín Felipe, from the Atocha 107 restaurant, and Andrea Tumbarello, from Don Giovani also cooked.
During the evening, an Imperial from Torre Muga, our demijohn of Adorado, Book XVII and Black Lion from Toren Private Cellar (South Africa), G2010, a balloon ride with a visit to the winery and lunch at Bodegas Muga and other items were put up for auction. In total, € 3,950 were raised.
Also, this autumn we have collaborated with the CIEN Foundation. To commemorate World Alzheimer’s Day, the entire amount of the sales of our AEVA oil was allocated to the research of neurodegenerative diseases.
